NATIONWIDE -- Is your city considered one of the best places to live for 2019?

  • According to Livability's study, Raleigh is the second best city to live in for 2019
  • Asheville, Charlotte, Durham, and Greensboro also made the list
  • Livability considered factors including affordability, economics, housing, amenities, infrastructure, demographics, social and civic capital, education, and health care in compiling the rankings

Livability.com, a site devoted to rankings and articles regarding cities in America, has released their rankings of top places to live in the United States this year. Good news for North Carolinians, the City of Oaks - Raleigh, North Carolina - took the second spot for the entire nation, coming just behind Boise, Idaho. 

In order to determine the score, Livability considered factors including economics, housing, amenities, infrastructure, demographics, social and civic capital, education, and health care.

Additionally, researchers took into account affordability, ensuring that no city on their top 100 list had a median home value above $250,000.
