Many returning veterans find themselves faced with a future that can seem uncertain, at best. Dealing with the Veterans Administration isn’t always easy. There are long waits for things like medical and mental health treatment, help with housing and jobs, or simply learning about and taking advantage of the benefits due to them.  And we’ve all heard about the backlogs in G.I. Bill benefits that have many vets fearing they’ll be made homeless. Astoundingly, very few of them know that help is available at the city and state levels in New York. Michael Bocchini, Deputy Director of NYS Division of Veterans Affairs, joined us to talk about the many programs offered by the state.
