Finding affordable housing in New York City is, at best, difficult. Creating enough affordable housing is just about impossible. There are a lot of reasons: a growing population, gentrification, a lack of funding. Our guests see the housing crisis from very different perspectives. As Executive Director of the Housing Rights Initiative, Aaron Carr has been working to make housing affordable and fair. Mark Willis is an economist, who says there will never be enough affordable housing, and we need to think about creating all kinds of new housing as the city draws people from across the spectrum, both rich and poor.
