The League of Conservation voters does more than just encourage voters to vote with the planet in mind. It actually rates elected officials according to their records on the environment. The group has given Nily Rozic a 100% approval rating. Julie Tighe talks about the tactics they use to make sure our electorate is earth-friendly, which includes tracking the voting records of politicians, educating and mobilizing voters, endorsing (or opposing) candidates based on their environmental records and contributing to campaigns. She talks about the records of city and state incumbents, and about the battle to make the 2020 elections about fighting climate change and keeping the planet safe. Nily Rozic serves on the Assembly’s Environmental Conservation Committee. Nily talks about her battle to keep our water and air safe, and her bill to help expand public transportation in the outer boroughs.
