A record number of voters turned out for the 2020 Texas Primary Elections.
There were several big spots up for grabs in Texas. In the U.S. Senate Race, 12 democrats were vying for the nomination to unseat incumbent Texas Senator John Cornyn. In the U.S. House races, democrats tried to mount challenges in at least a half-dozen GOP districts during the Super Tuesday primary, while republicans worked to take back two seats that flipped blue in 2018. Also, balance of power hung in the balance as Texas democrats tried to do something in 2020 that they haven't done since 2001 — regain control of the Texas House. Bob Garrett, Austin bureau chief for The Dallas Morning News joined In Focus Texas to provide political analysis following Super Tuesday and to discuss what it means for Texans.
