KENTUCKY — The United States Centers for Disease Control announced a nationwide hold on residential evictions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The CDC’s order took effect immediately and lasts for the rest of 2020, but that doesn’t mean Kentuckians are automatically shielded from being kicked out of their homes.

During this In Focus Kentucky segment, Kentucky State Representative Randy Bridges (R) of McCracken County, who also is a member of the Affordable Housing Caucus discusses what legislators in the Kentucky General Assembly are saying about a temporary pause on housing evictions in the Commonwealth.
