KENTUCKY — State Treasurer Allison Ball, operates what her office calls "the state’s Lost and Found Department," has returned $102 million in unclaimed property – more than any State Treasurer in Kentucky history in a four-year term.

During this In Focus Kentucky segment, Ball explains why she is a strong proponent of property rights and believes this property belongs to Kentuckians, not the government.

The state treasurer's office defines 'Unclaimed property' as payroll checks, unclaimed safety deposit boxes, old life insurance policies, stocks, or vendor checks that have remained unclaimed by their owners after several years.
