KENTUCKY — The Lexington-Fayette County Health Department reports there have been more than 2,800 COVID-19 cases so far in November; the previous monthly high was set back in September.

The health epartment also recently released data mentioning that the current spike in Lexington closely aligns with exposures from the weekend of Halloween.

Almost 31% of the city’s total COVID-19 cases have come in the last month: Lexington reported 4,360 cases from Oct. 16 through Nov. 16.

During this In Focus Kentucky segment, Linda Gorton discusses the impact of the Mayor's Mobile Neighborhood Testing Program, which provides walk-up and drive-up COVID-19 testing across communities in Lexington.

Gorton also shares details about a new memorial entitled 'In Remberance.' It was unveiled to honor Lexington citizens who have died due to COVID-19. The memorial is on Main Street in downtown Lexington.
