COVINGTON, Ky. — Sal Santoro has been a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives since 2007 and represents house District 60 which covers part of Boone County in Northern Kentucky.
During this In Focus Kentucky segment, Santoro who also serves as chairman of the state house Transportation subcommittee explains why he has long been an advocate for repairs to the Brent Spence Bridge.
"So we have about 3% of our gross national product goes up and down that interstate and bridge. So that bridge is very much, our transportation hub. That takes my citizens to and from work in Cincinnati, Ohio, because a lot of our constituents, they work in Ohio, and so do our small businesses that are in Northern Kentucky, that they work in Ohio, they just want to have their businesses here in Northern Kentucky, and then they, they go to Ohio to work and then they come back to Northern Kentucky," explains Santoro
