KENTUCKY — Democratic House Minority Whip Angie Hatton (D-Whitesburg) says while the first part of the 2021 General Assembly Session has been dominated by COVID-19 and oversight of the use of the Governor's emergency powers, she shared some of her legislative priorities that she hopes will be addressed during this session.

"I'm hoping we can get back to talking about things like judicial reform, medicinal marijuana things that have a lot of broad support across the state, and really need some attention. And we can do it in a bipartisan way as soon as we can get this stuff behind us.  We're living in a volatile time period, the nation has survived a lot of national crises and a lot of volatile time periods, and that we need to remember we're all Kentuckians that we're all Americans. We, at the end of the day, really are on the same team, and that everything that we do will be done better in the long run if we can just remember to be kind to each other and to listen to a different perspective without getting angry," adds Rep. Hatton.
