KENTUCKY — Two restaurants, no stoplights and $5.8 billion dollars from Ford Motor Company.
The small town of Glendale, Kentucky, which is inside Hardin County, just south of Elizabethtown, is now bracing for major change, after a recent major announcement that Ford and S-K Innovation will build two electric vehicle battery production plants in Blue Oval SK Battery Park.
Kentucky workers will supply Ford’s North American plants with batteries that will power the next generation of Ford and Lincoln electric vehicles.
Along with all that good news, 5000 permanent jobs will be added to the community that is currently home to just over 1700 people.
