33 years after the Central Park Five’s wrongful convictions, incarcerated individuals here in the city, and across the nation, are having their convictions overturned.

Yusef Salaam and Kevin Richardson of the now “Exonerated Five” join “In Focus” to talk about how as teenagers, they were pressured to say they raped and assaulted Trisha Meili in Central Park.

At just 14 and 15-years-old when convicted, they reflect on their time lost, what it was like to finally have their names cleared and how their lives have changed since that day.

Salaam and Richardson also share their thoughts and opinions on the movies and documentaries about their case.

The duo discusses their push in the state legislature for the Challenging Wrongful Convictions Act and what needs to be done to ensure innocent people stop being wrongfully convicted.
