BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Mike Buchanon is the Judge-Executive of Warren County, which is in south central Kentucky.

Buchanon was first elected as County Judge Executive of Warren County in 1993. And will retire from his position at the end of 2022.

During his time in office, Buchanon has been outspoken about his efforts to make sure that Warren County is a great place to live, work and raise a family.

“Well, economic development in South Central Kentucky is a team sport. All 10 counties work hard to do and acknowledge the fact that we are we acknowledge the fact that all of our economies are one economy. Our workforce is one workforce area. All of our medical educational facilities are all in this particular area when we share air that we breathe here. So we don’t really draw county lines in south central Kentucky. We really work toward the economic the economic presence for each and every county. Every county here collectively, is working together to spur economic development to attract workforce and to improve the quality of life in our own individual counties.,” explains Buchanon.

According to the 2020 census report, Warren County is the fifth largest county in the commonwealth and one of the fastest growing communities in our state with a population of over 137,000 people.
