David Greenfield, the CEO of Met Council, discussed the rise in antisemitic attacks and rhetoric across the United States.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, 17% of all antisemitic incidents in the U.S. last year occurred in New York.

The Met Council is America’s largest Jewish charity dedicated to fighting poverty, providing home services, career services and more.

Greenfield explained how the nonprofit helps New Yorkers in need.

With at least 500,000 poor and near-poor people in the Jewish community across the city, he explained the importance of ensuring Jewish organizations receive proper funding and representation in government.

Founded in 1972, Greenfield discussed the 50th anniversary of Met Council and how it’s evolved over the years.

He talked about how the organization is building bridges between our communities.
