KENTUCKY — Throughout Women's History Month, we celebrate the contributions of women. And while it's important to celebrate women's history during the other 11 months too, during the month of March, we remember the sacrifices made by women, for women to help make the world, and our country, a more inclusive place.

During this In Focus Kentucky segment, multimedia journalist Katie Forcade details how Amazon employees empower young girls to pursue STEM careers during a school trip to the Kentucky Amazon Air Hub in Hebron.

The month of March commemorates the vital role of women in American history since it started in 1981. Since that time three decades later, more women have invested in starting their own small businesses, along the way paving a new definition of “feminism.” Reporter Kyhati Patel explains how a Louisville business said it’s about embracing the term and helping other women.
