Oresa Napper-Williams, CEO and founder of “Not Another Child,” joined “In Focus” to talk about her journey through gun violence.
She lost her son nearly 17 years ago to gun violence when he was 21 years old.
The organization uses a multi-pronged approach to keep children safe, like the “Out the HOOD” Project.
Napper-Williams also discussed the Fair Access to Victim Compensation Act that she lobbied for years. The act has passed the state Senate and is waiting for Gov. Kathy Hochul’s signature.
