Bronx Councilmember Marjorie Velázquez joined "In Focus" to talk about outdoor dining.
She explained the road it took to get to the signing of a recent outdoor dining bill into law.
Velázquez talked about the rules required of restaurants once the law goes into effect in 2024. Permanent dining sheds must come down and certain restaurants will need to apply for permits to provide outdoor dining.
She also discussed how the program was born during the COVID-19 pandemic.
