In recognition of Baby Loss Awareness Week In Focus host, Mike Kallmeyer discussed the importance of supporting Ohio families.

It is a week to remember babies lost during pregnancies or soon after birth. Congressman Dave Joyce (R) is working to pass the SHINE for Autumn Act. He spoke with Kallmeyer about how he hopes to improve stillbirth health and education.

State Sen. Paula Hicks-Hudson (D) is also hoping to improve maternal health in Ohio. She discussed her proposal to increase the use of Doula services, which is a person who provides wholistic support to families throughout the pregnancy.

A representative of March of Dimes also joined the conversation. Bianca Zarders described the efforts the organization is taking to prevent preterm births.
