City Council Speaker Adrienne Speaker Adams shared her thoughts on maternal mortality and how it impacts women of color at a disproportionate rate.

She recounted her personal experience in the hospital care system. Adams also looked back at Councilmember Mercedes Narcisse's time on "In Focus" where she discussed sickle cell disease.

The Speaker then talked about how New York is the first state to offer telehealth abortion care access and how women will always be able to feel safe here in their reproductive rights.
