Councilmember David Carr said he will be advocating on behalf of New York issues at the Republican National Convention and will make sure the national party aligns with those needs.
Carr talked about representing two different boroughs within his district and explained how he tries to make all his residents feel heard.
The councilmember also discussed his thoughts on the migrant crisis on Staten Island as a St. John Villa Academy alum.
Carr said there is an affordability crisis for homes on Staten Island and more residents are getting pushed out due to costs.
He then talked about the North Shore beautification action plan and why he feels it's necessary for future generations.
