NYC Chief Information Security Officer Kelly Moan desribed how the city was able to mitigate the effects of the Crowdstrike outage this past summer because they had safeguards in place ahead of time.

She said it’s common to have your information stolen, echoing a recent report that said millions of Americans had their social security information leaked.

Moan also explained the Cyber Academy and said who can partake in it.
