Queens Councilmember Julie Won discussed how recent immigration raids in the city are affecting Asian Americans, saying some are scared to go to work or school and need to know their rights.

She talked about how the community is doing and shared what needs to be done to protect it.

Won also gave her thoughts on the attacks on DEI across the country and said she is where she is today because of DEI and the people who paved the way before her.

Finally, Won detailed new legislation to put the first Buddhist holiday on the city schedule for alternate side parking, saying it’s a big step forward for representation.
