This weekend on In Focus, we’re taking a closer look at Earth Month and issues surrounding it.
JoDee Kenny sits down with Dr. Joshua Drew, assistant professor for SUNY ESF.
They spoke about the importance of celebrating Earth Month. Drew says it's a great way celebrate and share success stories. It's a way to learn what works and what doesn't. Drew is an aquatic conservation ecologist. He talked about how fishing not only has a multi-billion dollar economic impact, it can also foster togetherness.
As a professor, Drew is working on sturgeon population restoration. When it comes to mitigating changing environmental conditions, Drew says talking about it is so important and they can lead to solutions like walking or biking more.
