Democratic mayoral candidate Scott Stringer talked about housing affordability.

Stringer discussed how more and more people are getting pushed out of the city due to rising costs and lack of affordable housing.

He detailed how he would like to create a deputy mayor for quality of life to improve mental health on the streets, increase NYPD officers on the streets, and decrease silos among city agencies.

Stringer shared how his past experience as city comptroller and Manhattan borough president helps inform him to fill in the gaps the city is currently facing.

He also explained his plans to dismantle the attack by President Donald Trump on the city that cut federal funding that impacts nonprofits and city agencies.

Stringer emphasized the need to have someone with political experience to be able to run the city efficiently.

He finished the conversation by giving a final pitch to New Yorkers.
