We are opening a conversation about equitable opportunities for business owners and entrepreneurs this weekend on In Focus.

Marisa Jacques sat down with Danielle Davis, director of BIPOC Business Growth at the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce, to talk about ways to grow a more inclusive business climate. Davis said entrepreneurs should be afforded equal access to loans and other financial tools they need to succeed but, unfortunately, biases remain in the banking industry. Davis said the Chamber of Commerce offers educational resources to help owners grow their business. She also spoke about guidance for Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises looking to become MWBE Certified, offering a path to state and local government contracts.
