Human trafficking is a major issue in Wisconsin and across the United States. According to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, at least one victim is reported every day in the state. This week on “In Focus,” we explore the issue of human trafficking in our state and ways to combat the issue.

Cat Morgan is the executive director of Fierce Freedom, an organization that works to combat human trafficking in Eau Claire and across Western Wisconsin. Morgan joined Spectrum News 1 to discuss the challenges she sees in the Eau Claire area when it comes to trafficking and address the impact that increased awareness has in combating the issue.
