Spectrum News is learning about a COVID-19 cluster at Elderwood in Amherst.

The elder care facility recently tested every staff member and resident, revealing 21 confirmed cases of the virus among the residents.

All of those cases were within a single facility.

Residents who tested positive will be isolated and closely monitored in a location where they can rest comfortably.

Elderwood would not release any information on how many staff members tested positive.
